Part 1 - Making The Decision
Exploring Creativity as a tool for successful Problem Solving & Decision Making
Introduction to the IDEAL™ model for successful Problem solving & Decision Making
The session continues with techniques in developing the ability to make use of a variety of perspectives to stimulate new ideas in problem solving and decision making – using the (ID) of this model.
These Ideas are captured and a mind-map is drawn to show the relevance of these ideas to the issues at hand.
Part 2 - Delivering the Decision
Using the (EA) of the Model
Make Clear, Rational Decisions using the ‘3D’ Method, using Data, Diagnosis and Direction
Use the intelligence behind negative thinking to gain positive action
Use the ‘Force Field Analysis’ technique to finalise good decisions you can work with
Part 3 - Implementing the Decision
Transfer acceptance for your ideas (L)
Good thinking needs to be communicated positively to others in order to be effective
To carry ideas into action
Achieve ‘buy-in’ for your decisions
Communicate with confidence and conviction
Transfer your ideas so that they make sense to those who implement decisions
Valerie Pierce
Valerie Pierce, MA (Phil), MSc (Executive Coaching) is Creator of the training concept ‘Clear & Critical Thinking’.Her international client list includes public and private sector clients in Ireland, UK and Europe over a 20 year period.
Valerie also lectures on MBA programs at Ashridge Business School, Brooks University Oxford, the Smurfit School of Business and Trinity College Dublin.
She is a Tutor on the worldwide Ashridge Leadership Programme and is the author of the ‘Creative Problem Solving’ Learning Guide (2011) for the Ashridge Business School (Top 1% of Global Business Schools – Ref: Financial Times).
